About Nice Place

Nice Place helps people compare postcode sectors in England, Scotland and Wales before choosing where to look for a home. The guides bring public records into one place, with the source and limits of each figure beside the evidence.

Who publishes this

Nice Place publishes these guides. We do not attach a named local author, claim first-hand visits, or claim that a person has checked every sector. Guide pages are assembled by software from stored datasets and shared rules. We review the method and run data checks, but those checks cannot establish that every local record is complete or current.

What a guide describes

Each guide describes a postcode sector, not a neighbourhood with a fixed cultural boundary. Names and approximate centre points help with orientation. Housing, schools, connectivity, local places and crime records come from different sources and geographic levels. A missing figure means we do not have usable evidence for that measure.

The guide is a starting point. Check an address, school admissions, current listings and local services with the responsible provider before making a decision.

Sources and corrections

Read the methodology for the source list, calculations, dates we can verify, and gaps we still need to resolve.
